Heartbreaker.

The Toronto Maple Leafs drop an overtime stunner after the Columbus Blue Jackets score four unanswered goals to win Game Three by a score of 4-3. Columbus' Pierre-Luc Dubois was the difference maker on Thursday, scoring three goals including the overtime winner to put Columbus up 2-1 in the best-of-five series.

Head Coach Sheldon Keefe was critical of Toronto's performance post game. "We didn't have any real purpose or plan to our game today. We were making things up as we went along. We got what we deserved."

Toronto won't have long to sit and dwell on tonight's loss, with a do-or-die Game Four in less than 20 hours.

In a game that started out all Maple Leafs, there were still some moments to be celebrated. Cody Ceci got the scoring started on a shorthanded shot from the point, with the help of a few bounces, to fire the team up late in the first period. William Nylander added to Toronto's lead with a beautiful move in tight on the powerplay for his first of the postseason. But the biggest first of the night for Toronto was undoubtedly 18-year-old rookie Nick Robertson scoring his first ever NHL goal on his soon-to-be signature rocket of a shot.

Looking ahead to Friday's matchup, Mitch Marner reflected on what should happen tonight in order to prepare for tomorrow. "Just erase it. We've been bouncing back all year." This series alone, Toronto showed that much needed resolve after Game One's loss, quickly finding their groove and dominating the next game. Marner added that the team has proven they can rise to the occasion. "When things don't go our way, we've always shown up the next day and played our hearts out."

Toronto returns to action for Game Four tomorrow at 8:00 PM ET with an opportunity to do just that.
