Kraken fan-favorite Brandon Tanev suffered an ACL injury during the team's matchup against the Edmonton Oilers on December 18 at Climate Pledge Arena. The season-ending injury came on a hit by Edmonton defenseman William Lagesson during the third period of the game.
Tanev was evaluated by team doctors plus the Kraken sought out a second opinion. All evaluations pointed to a knee injury that will require surgery. The team will provide more information on his recovery as it becomes available.
Tanev scored nine goals and added six assists in 30 games. Three of his goals have been game-winners. He also is a team leader in hits with 98.
