A look at the game “by the numbers.”
- The Kraken deserved this win – in 5-on-5 they created 52-percent of all shot volume and 65.5-percent of all shot quality. The only period the home team didn’t win was the third when they were out-attempted but still created better shots when they took them.
- All four forward lines were on the positive side when it came to shot volume and shot quality.
- With the win, Seattle has swept the season series with an opponent for the second time this year (the other is Chicago).
- The Kraken won 52.6-percent of all puck battles in the game.
- Jared McCann’s goal was his 20th of the season and it marks the third consecutive season that McCann has scored 20 or more goals. Jordan Eberle is the only other player to accomplish the same.
- As part of a three-point period (the fourth Seattle player to do so which ties a franchise record with Schultz; Burakovsky; and Dunn), Eberle assisted on McCann’s tally marking the thirtieth time that Eberle has helped set up a McCann goal.
- Eberle is now one goal away from scoring 50 times with Seattle – the only other player to do so thus far is McCann.
- Eberle became the fourth player in Kraken history with 10 career power-play goals, joining McCann (22), Jaden Schwartz (12) and Oliver Bjorkstrand (11).
- Yanni Gourde led all skaters in 5-on-5 shot quality and Vince Dunn shot the puck more than any other Kraken (9 attempts).
