5️⃣ Things To Know For Tonight's Game

  1. The Kings are currently even to open a seven-game homestand, following a 6-5 overtime win over Ottawa and a 3-2 defeat against Buffalo. Tonight's game is the first of two divisional matchups on their longest stretch of games in Los Angeles this season, following a rematch of a 5-4 Sharks win in Northern California on October 3.
  1. The Kings are expected to have the services of forward Adrian Kempe this evening, after he missed Saturday's game against Buffalo. Kempe returned to the group for practice on Monday and Tuesday. The Swede scored a power-play goal in San Jose last month, as a part of a multi-point night, and said that he expects to play tonight's game.
  1. Additionally, the Kings dodged a scare with defenseman Brandt Clarke, who is expected to play tonight. Clarke left Monday's practice midway through with an apparent injury but was back with the group on Tuesday, in addition to today's morning skate. Clarke, who also left Thursday's game against Ottawa with an upper-body injury, should be good to go against the Sharks.
  1. Forward Trevor Moore has points in both games thus far on the current homestand. Moore snapped a ten-game scoreless streak on Thursday against Ottawa and collected a primary assist on Saturday versus Buffalo. Moore has totaled five points (2-3-5) on the season to date, tied for the fourth-most among all Kings forwards.
  1. Forward Kenny Connors is expected to make his 2026-27 regular season debut for the Kings, after he was recalled yesterday from the AHL's Ontario Reign. Connors has collected seven points (1-6-7) in 11 games played this season with Ontario and is projected to skate on a line with veterans Erik Haula and Joel Armia in tonight's game.

Players to Watch

Kings - Quinton Byfield: When these teams met in San Jose back in October, Byfield led the way offensively with a goal and an assist, as Los Angeles collected its first point of the 2026-27 season. Byfield is one of four Kings forwards with multiple points on the current homestand, after a two-point night on Thursday.

Sharks - Tyler Toffoli: Toffoli currently ranks third on his team in goals this season, having hit the back of the net four times in 16 games played this season. Toffoli, a Kings draft pick in 2010, scored 139 goals with the Los Angeles organization, ranking 20th all-time in franchise history.
