This year, your LA Kings Hockey Is For Everyone ambassador is none other than assistant captain Dustin Brown.
Brown looks to continue to educate people throughout the community on the importance of inclusion as he serves as the Kings' Hockey is for Everyone Ambassador for the second straight year.

"I think it's important to understand it's just a lack of education, a lack of awareness of bigger things than hockey," Brown said in
an interview with Kings Insider last season
. "It's not like a sports issue, it goes across to all facets of life and with a lot of the big issues like this, it just comes down to... a lack of education on the matter."

The National Hockey League (NHL), along with the The National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) have joined together to launch their annual campaign called
Hockey Is For Everyone
, which runs throughout the month of February.
Hockey is for Everyone is an initiative that celebrates every member of the hockey community regardless of their background, age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or disabilities. Players and fans alike can engage in the conversation with the hashtag #HockeyIsForEveryone.
As for Brown, he is "just trying to get the message across that everyone's different."
And that those differences should be celebrated.
