WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Jets defenceman Dylan Samberg can apparently do more than clear the crease and move the puck.

According to a post on X from Johnny Lazarus, Samberg ranks sixth among NHL players when it comes to their golf game, with a reported 1.8 handicap. Lazarus shared a graphic based on research from the United States Golf Association highlighting some of the best golfers in the NHL.

Samberg’s 1.8 handicap puts him firmly in the conversation among the league’s better golfers, adding another skill to the 27-year-old defenceman’s résumé. The list includes the Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog, Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger and Wild forward Matt Boldy. So, when Samberg isn’t defending NHL forwards, he can hold his own on the fairways, too.
