Oct. 23, 1983 -The Isles set a team record for fastest three goals (27 seconds) in game against the New York Rangers.
The Isles ultimately lost the game 6-5 in overtime, but the Isles three third-period goals were scored in the span of 27 seconds to send the game into the extra frame. Denis Potvin ignited the quick strikes with a power play goal at 15:15, Bryan Trottier scored 10 seconds later and at 15:42 Bob Bourne scored the third goal.
