March 25, 2003:Alexei Yashin had a career-night in Chicago, as the Islanders center recorded the only four-goal game of his career in a 9-2 win over the Blackhawks. Yashin scored a pair of goals in the first period as the Islanders opened up a 5-0 lead on Chicago. Yashin completed the hat trick at 2:14 of the third period and scored his fourth of the night 12 seconds later. The four-goal game also marked the eighth and final hat-trick of Yashin's 12-year NHL career.

March 25, 2014:The Islanders establish their fastest four-goal lead in franchise history, going up 4-0 in Carolina at 10:54 of the first period in an eventual 5-4 win. Colin McDonald scored two goals, including the icebreaker at 3:39, while Cal Clutterbuck and Matt Martin also scored for the Isles. Carolina didn't go away quietly, getting as close as 4-3 in the third period but Martin's second goal of the game held up as the winner.
