The New York Islanders point streak reached five games on Saturday, but it came in a losing effort, as the Isles fell to the Nashville Predators 3-2 in a shootout at Bridgestone Arena.
Anthony Beauvillier and Oliver Wahlstrom scored power-play goals for the Islanders, who had 1-0 and 2-1 leads in regulation. Nashville answered with a pair of tallies from Tanner Jeannot and eventually won the game in a shootout, with Filip Forsberg (game-deciding goal) and Roman Josi finding the back of the net.
