Sweet road Chicago.
The New York Islanders picked up their first win of the season on Tuesday night, beating the Chicago Blackhawks 4-1 at United Center.
Ilya Sorokin made 39 saves, including 18 in the first period, keeping the Islanders in the game long enough for Anthony Beauvillier, Oliver Wahlstrom (2G) and Cal Clutterbuck to provide the offense. MacKenzie Entwhistle broke Sorokin's shutout bid with 26 seconds to play in the third period. The win improves the Islanders to 1-2-0 this season.

THE SCORING
First Period
No Scoring
Second Period
4:08 - NYI 1, CHI 0 - Anthony Beauvillier opens the scoring, pulling up a puck from the side of the net into the top of the crease and depositing it far side past Marc-Andre Fleury. Oliver Wahlstrom didn't officially record an assist on the play, but factored in by creating some chaos behind the net causing a loose puck.
Third Period
0:48 - NYI 2, CHI 0 - Wahlstrom extends the Islanders lead, corralling a Blackhawks turnover, skating around a sliding defenseman and beating Fleury five-hole. The goal is Wahlstrom's second in as many games.
8:51 - NYI 3, CHI 0 - Wahlstrom scores his second goal of the period - on the Islanders next shot - depositing a spinning cross-ice feed from JG Pageau. The goal marks Wahlstrom's first-ever two-goal game.
11:06 - NYI 4, CHI 0 - Cal Clutterbuck snaps a wrister glove side off the post and in for his first goal of the season. Clutterbuck had all sorts of time and space after Blackhawks defenseman Riley Stillman blew a tire in the neutral zone.
19:34 - NYI 4, CHI 1 - MacKenzie Entwhistle ends Sorokin's bid for a shutout with a goal late. The goal is briefly reviewed for an offside zone entry, but stands.
