The New York Islanders' two-game winning streak came to an end on Thursday, as the Isles fell 4-1 to the New Jersey Devils at UBS Arena.
Anders Lee scored the lone goal for the Islanders late in the third period to spoil Mackenzie Blackwood's shutout bid, but it was not enough to overcome a 3-0 deficit in a one-sided game for New Jersey.
Ondrej Palat (2G), Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier (ENG) scored for the Devils. Hischier (1G, 2A) and Jesper Bratt each had multipoint games.
The Islanders were outshot 41-17 in the loss, which levelled off the team's four-game homestand at 2-2-0.
