The puck is dropping... on the preseason.
The Islanders kick off the 2019 preseason on Monday night against the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center at 7 p.m.. The game will be broadcast on MSG+ and NHL Network, courtesy of the Flyers' feed.
Monday's game kicks off a home-and-home, back-to-back set against the Isles and Flyers, who reconvene on Tuesday night at NYCB Live. The Islanders will play seven preseason games in the run-up to the 2019-20 regular season.

The game group did not skate at Northwell Health Ice Center on Monday morning. See below for expected game rosters. While the Islanders starter was not specified, there's a good chance Semyon Varlamov makes his Islanders preseason debut, as the team tends to change goalies halfway through preseason games. Brian Elliott will start, per the
Flyers' official site
, with Alex Lyons replacing him halfway through the contest.
