The National Hockey League announced today that Brock Nelson has been selected to represent the New York Islanders at the 2023 NHL All-Star Weekend. This year's festivities will take place in Sunrise, FL at FLA Live Arena, with the Skills Competition on Friday, Feb. 3 and the All-Star Game the following evening, Saturday, Feb. 4.

Through 715 games with the New York Islanders, Nelson has 425 points (220 goals, 205 assists). This season, the 31-year-old leads the Islanders in goals (15) and game-winning goals (5), and is second on the team in points (38) through 39 games. Nelson also recorded his 200th career assist on December 17.
Since his rookie season in 2013-14, Nelson leads the Islanders in game-winning goals (36) and is second in goals (220) and points (425). Nelson also sits ninth in club history in games played and 11th in goals.

The Warroad, MN native played two seasons of college hockey at the University of North Dakota from 2010-2012, where he recorded 68 points (36 goals, 32 assists) in 84 games.
Nelson represented the United States of America at the World Championships in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, recording 28 points (16 goals, 12 assists) in 32 games through four tournaments, capturing bronze in 2015. Nelson also represented the U.S. at the 2011 World Junior Championships, where he tallied one assist in five games and earned a bronze medal.
This is the first NHL All-Star appearance for Nelson in his career.
The Islanders selected Nelson in the first round (30th overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft.
