The National Hockey League announced today that Islanders captain Anders Lee has been named the NHL's "Third Star" for the week ending on March 13, 2022.

Lee has recorded seven goals in his last four games. He recorded his 29th career two-goal game on Monday, March 7 vs Colorado, including his 200th NHL goal. Three nights later, on March 10, the 31-year-old scored his first career hat trick, recording consecutive multi-goal games for the first time in his career.
Friday night vs. Winnipeg, the Edina, MN native scored the game-winning goal to help the Islanders defeat Metropolitan Division opponent Columbus Blue Jackets, 5-2, at UBS Arena. It was his second game-winning tally of the season and 33rd of his career.
Lee finished the week by extending his goal streak to four games, as he scored his 21st goal of the season on Sunday night. The Islanders defeated the Anaheim Ducks, 4-3, earning their third consecutive regulation victory, improving the team's record to 4-1-0 in their last five games on home ice.
Lee has scored 21 goals, seven assists and 28 points through 50 games this season.
