Adams Nets Hat Trick for Muskegon

Collin Adams is one of the top scorers in the United States Hockey League, ranking second in the league with 22 points (13G, 9A) in 19 games with the Muskegon Lumberjacks.

Adams' weekend was highlighted by his first hat-trick of the season in an 8-2 win over the Omaha Lancers on Sunday. The Brighton, Michigan native opened the scoring for the Lumberjacks with the game's first two goals and capped off the trio of goals in the second period. The left winger has previously recorded one hat trick with Muskegon, in the final game of the 2015-16 regular season.

The Islanders' 2016 sixth-round pick (170th overall) leads Muskegon in both goals (13) and points (22). Adams has notched eight multiple point games this season for the Lumberjacks, including three multi-goal games.

Five Game Point Streak for Wotherspoon

Parker Wotherspoon has scored a point in five straight games for the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League. Through 21 games, the Islanders' 2015 fourth-round pick (112nd overall) is averaging a point-a-game for the Americans, with five goals and 16 assists. The defenseman currently ranks in the top 10 in defensemen scoring in the WHL.

Last week Wotherspoon recorded the game-winning goal - a power-play goal - in Tri-City's 5-1 win over the Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday. The Surrey, British Columbia native added an assist on Friday in a 6-5 loss to the Kamloops Blazers. Wotherspoon tallied the primary assist on the game-tying goal for the Americans on Saturday before falling 5-4 to the Edmonton Oil Kings in overtime.

Sorokin Records Two Wins for CSKA

Ilya Sorokin backstopped CSKA of the Kontinental Hockey League to two wins last week. Sorokin stopped all 21 shots he faced in a 2-0 game against Automobilist on Tuesday, November 15. The goaltender won again on Saturday, making 19 saves in a 4-2 victory over Barys.

The Islanders' 2014 third-round pick (78th overall) is tied for third place in the KHL with 15 wins. In 24 games, Sorokin has posted a .936 save percentage and a 1.40 goals against average.

Missouri Earns Comeback Win Against Florida

The Missouri Mavericks won consecutive games for the first time this season, thanks to a 4-3 come from behind shootout win against the Florida Everblades on Saturday.

The Everblades held a 3-1 lead midway through the third period, but defenseman Kevin Tansey kickstarted the comeback with his first goal of the season. Sam Povorozniouk netted with the game-tying goal - his second of the game - late in the third period sending the game to overtime and ultimately a shootout.

Goalie Josh Robinson stopped all three Florida shooters in the shootout while Povorozniouk sealed the win with the lone shootout goal. Robinson finished the game with 33 saves to improve Missouri's record to 5-7-0-1.
