LUCA ROMANO’S POINT STREAK ENDS AT FOUR GAMES

Luca Romano, the Islanders’ 2025 third-round pick (74th overall), has been red-hot to start the season. He tallied a point in each of the first four games he played to start the season with the Kitchener Rangers.

On Friday, Romano helped lift Kitchener to a 4-3 OT victory over the Saginaw Spirit with assists on the game-tying goal and the game-winner. His four-game point streak came to an end on Sunday.

The Toronto, ON, native tallied an assist in three straight games before his streak ended, with four assists over that span.  Romano has served as the top-line center with the Rangers and has recorded five points (1G, 4A) on the early season, averaging a point per game.

VLADIMIR DRAVECKY’S TWO-POINT GAME

Defenseman Vladimir Dravecky, the Islanders’ 2026 fifth-round pick (141st overall), had an exciting Sunday afternoon, tallying two points (1G, 1A) in Guelph’s 6-0 rout of Kitchener.

Dravecky’s first point came from a tipped-in shot off Carter Stevens' stick on the power play.

The 6’0 " defenseman continued to play an offensive-minded game, scoring his first goal of the season. The goal was a backhander that capped off the six-goal day for the Storm.

Dravecky was a standout at Islanders Training Camp and has continued to impress in his first four games of the 2025-27 season. The 19-year-old Czech has recorded a point in all but one contest this season and totaled four points (1G, 3A) on the year.

KAMIL BEDNARIK’S TWO-POINT GAME

Kamil Bednarik opened his junior season at Boston University with a two-point game in the second game of the season against Alaska Fairbanks University. The Islanders selected the forward 61st overall in the 2024 Draft.

Bednarik scored the second goal of the contest 11 minutes into the third period, as part of the Terriers’ four unanswered goals in the period.

Bednarik skated through traffic on the left wing and slotted in an unassisted goal. Bednarik’s night wasn’t finished there. The center won the faceoff in the Terriers’ D-zone, allowing Jack Harvey to find Caleb Malhotra for an empty-netter.

This season, Bednarik is a part of Boston University’s leadership group, serving as an alternate captain.

Bednarik stands at 6’1’’, 185lbs. He competed with the U.S. U-18 National Team in 2024, where he tallied 26 goals and 39 assists and helped lead the U.S. to a silver medal.
