DRAVECKY'S FIVE-POINT GAME

Vladimir Dravecký went off on Saturday night, recording his first five-point game (2G, 3A) in Guelph’s 10-5 win over the Owen Sound Attack.

It was a terrific way to celebrate signing a three-year, entry-level contract with the Islanders, which the 2025 fifth-round pick (141st overall) signed on Wednesday.

Dravecký's first point of the night came in the form of an assist on the Storm's second goal nine minutes into the game.

Dravecký's second and third points of the night also came on assists, with his third assist coming on the power play.

The 19-year-old scored Guelph's final two goals of the game, with the first being a buzzer beater to conclude the second period. Dravecký capped off the 10-goal contest for the Storm with an unassisted goal on the power play.

The 6-foot, 192-pound Czech defenseman has now recorded nine points (3G, 6A) across six games for the Storm this season. Dravecký is tied for the OHL lead in points by a defenseman.

POLETÍN’S THREE-POINT GAME

Tomas Poletín notched a three-point contest (1G, 2A) in the Kelowna Rockets' 10-2 win against the Swift Current Broncos on Oct. 7.

Poletín's first point of the day was an assist on the eventual game-winner. Poletín's second point occurred with just 20 seconds left on the clock in the second period, an assist on Rowan Guest's second goal of the game.

Poletín capped off the scoring with a goal on the power play, corralling a loose puck on a rebound off the goalie's knee pad and putting one away.

Before Wednesday's game against the Broncos, Poletín, the 2025 fourth-round pick (106th overall) had only recorded one point on the season.

EXCITING OPENING WEEKEND FOR COWAN

Bobby Cowan had an exciting start to his sophomore campaign with Western Michigan University, recording three points (1G, 2A) across two games against Ferris State University.

Cowan notched an assist in the first game of the season, and a two-point (1G, 1A) day in the second game of the series. Cowan ripped off eight shots across the two contests.

Cowan was selected in the seventh round (205th overall) in the 2026 Draft. The 20-year-old forward produced 24 points (5G, 19A) in his freshman year with the Broncos.
