In the NCAA, Logan Cockerill of the Boston University Terriers and Cameron Berg of the University of Nebraska Omaha Mavericks each posted an assist for their respective teams.
Cockerill, who the Islanders selected in the seventh round of the 2017 NHL Draft (201st overall) dished out an assist on Jan. 22 in BU's 4-0 blanking over Vermont, where the Terriers split the weekend series. The assist marked Cockerill's fourth point of the season. The captain has four points through 19 games of his red-shirt senior season.
BU is ranked sixth in the Hockey East standings with a 7-6-3 conference record and owns an overall record of 11-10-3.
Berg recorded his seventh assist of the season as UNO defeated Minnesota Duluth 5-1 and split the weekend series. The Islanders' 2021 fourth rounder (125th overall) now has 14 points (7G, 7A) through 23 games of his freshman season.
The Mavericks sit in sixth place in the NCHC standings with a 5-7-0 record and have an overall record of 15-9-0.
