THE GAME
On Hockey Fights Cancer Night at T-Mobile Arena, Vegas got off to its fastest start in franchise history when William Karlsson scored just 14 seconds into the contest. Later in the opening frame, the Golden Knights added one goal from Colin Miller and two from Max Pacioretty to make it 4-0 after the first period of play. William Carrier extended the lead midway through the second when he stormed the length of the ice to beat Aaron Dell. In the third period, Alex Tuch added to the lead and Marc-Andre Fleury finished with 33 saves to earn his second shutout in as many nights.
AT THE TIME
Behind Marc-Andre Fleury's league-best fifth shutout of the season, the Golden Knights matched a season-high three game winning streak. Vegas improved to 12-12-1 overall and climbed closer in the standings to the division-leading Sharks.
