ALL-TIME VS. MONTREAL
Vegas and Montreal have met six times in the regular season since the Golden Knights joined the NHL in 2017. The Golden Knights have picked up just one win against the Canadiens in those six tries but have a 1-2-3 record. Jonathan Marchessault leads the Golden Knights with eight points (3G, 5A) against the Canadiens since 2017. Reilly Smith (3G, 4A) and William Karlsson (2G, 5A) each have seven points against Montreal since the inception of the franchise.
HOW MONTREAL GOT HERE
After snagging the final berth into the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Canadiens found themselves down 3-1 to the Scotia North Division champion Toronto Maple Leafs after four games. Montreal erased the series deficit with a pair of overtime wins and churned out a 3-1 win in Game 7 to advance to the second round. The Canadiens met the Winnipeg Jets in the second round who had just swept the No. 2 Edmonton Oilers in four games. Winnipeg found itself on the wrong side of a second-round sweep as the Canadiens beat them four times in a row to reach the third round for the first time since 2014.

KEYS TO THE GAME PRESENTED BY TOYOTA
One Game at a Time: The best-of-seven series has become a best-of-three with Vegas hosting two of the three potential contests. It's crucial that the Golden Knights don't look beyond Tuesday's challenge and focus on taking the pivotal fifth game.
Top-Six Scoring: Head coach Pete DeBoer has praised the team's depth throughout the playoffs, but the Golden Knights' top-six forwards have been held off the scoresheet for the bulk of the series. Vegas is without top center Chandler Stephenson but still needs contributions from its top scorers to put Montreal in the rearview mirror.
