Inside The Streak: Vegas Wins Five Straight

For the second time this season, the Vegas Golden Knights have won five games in a row. They've picked up points in each of their last eight games and have climbed into a tie for first in the Pacific Division standings.

December 27: Golden Knights 2, Avalanche 1
After the Avalanche scored the game's first goal, Paul Stastny cashed in from the side of the net to tie the game. Brandon Pirri tallied the game-winning goal midway through the third period and the Golden Knights churned out a one-goal win.

December 29: Golden Knights 4, Kings 1
William Carrier got the Golden Knights on the board early in the first, but Anze Kopitar leveled the score at 1-1 with just five seconds left in the period. Alex Tuch buried his 13th goal of the season, William Karlsson notched his 15th and Stastny added a goal for good measure as Vegas took home the 4-1 win.
December 30: Golden Knights 5, Coyotes 1
Stastny knocked in the first goal of the game just 3:35 into the opening period. Reilly Smith and Alex Galchenyuk exchanged goals in the second period before Vegas broke it open in the third. Cody Eakin, Pirri and Ryan Carpenter each put pucks behind Darcy Kuemper as the Golden Knights earned a 5-1 win.
January 1: Golden Knights 2, Kings 0
The first two periods of the game on New Year's Day were a goaltending duel between Fleury and Jack Campbell. Vegas broke through in the third period when Pirri potted a power-play goal and Tuch capped off the win with an empty-net goal.
January 4: Golden Knights 3, Ducks 2
Nate Schmidt got the Golden Knights on the board in the first period, but their lead disappeared in a matter of 17 seconds in the middle period. Tomas Nosek and Max Pacioretty scored goals only 31 seconds apart to reestablish Vegas' lead as they held on to win.
