CALGARY - It is confirmed.
Mike Smith will get when the Flames face off against the Avalanche in Game 1 of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The veteran netminder, who had a 1.94 GAA and a .916 save percentage in his final 11 starts of the regular season, will be making his 20th postseason appearance. His prior playoff experience came primarily in Arizona, when he recorded a 1.99 GAA and a .944 save percentage in 16 games in 2011-12. He also appeared in three games with Tampa Bay in 2010-11, posting a 1.00 GAA and a .958 save percentage.
