UNIONDALE, N.Y. - Mike Smith will get the nod in goal tonight, looking to build on a personal four-game winning streak as the Flames - collectively - look to extend theirs to a season-high six.
Smith is coming off a 25-save effort in last Friday's 2-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks, and now has an impressive .929 save percentage in five straight starts (4-0-1) dating back to Feb. 14.
The Flames will go with the same group of forwards that produced a 2-1 win over the Ottawa Senators on Sunday. On D, Oliver Kylington is still a bit banged up, so he'll take the night off and Dalton Prout will draw in.
Oscar Fantenberg, who was acquired by the Flames prior to yesterday's trade deadline, has joined the team in Uniondale but will not dress tonight. He is likely to play tomorrow against the New Jersey Devils.
Here are the projected forward lines and D pairs for tonight's game:
Johnny Gaudreau - Sean Monahan - Elias Lindholm
Matthew Tkachuk - Mikael Backlund - Sam Bennett
Michael Frolik - Mark Jankowski - Austin Czarnik
Andrew Mangiapane - Derek Ryan - Garnet Hathaway
Mark Giordano - Rasmus Andersson
Noah Hanifin - Travis Hamonic
T.J. Brodie - Dalton Prout
