CALGARY - He's moving on up.
Sam Bennett will play on the second line, alongside Matthew Tkachuk and Mikael Backlund, in tonight's game against the LA Kings. He will also be a part of the second powerplay unit with Milan Lucic, Derek Ryan, TJ Brodie, and Rasmus Andersson.
"He finished off real good last year, as you know, and then he started off this year and had a good pre-season," head coach Bill Peters said. "He was good through the exhibition schedule and he's continued on. He'll be on the powerplay tonight and that's a good opportunity for him, that he will take advantage of. He's playing with two good players and they'll be a good line for us tonight."
