After a brief stay at home, the Ducks (5-3-1, 11 points) hit the road once more for a two-game trip that begins tonight in Chicago against the Blackhawks (4-2-2, 10 points). (5:30 p.m. PT, TV: Prime Ticket, Radio: AM 830).

This marks the 10th game of the month for the Ducks, who will play 13 in all. Only the 2013-14 squad played more games during the month of October (14) in franchise history. Following tonight's game, the Ducks will conclude this trip in Dallas on Thursday and then finish off the month with a pair of home games against the San Jose Sharks (October 28) and Philadelphia Flyers (October 30).
The Ducks enter tonight's game with a 49-32-11 all-time mark against the Blackhawks, including a 24-18-6 record in the Windy City. Anaheim has won the last two meetings against Chicago and has gone 7-2-1 in its last 10 at the United Center. With 33 points (8g/25a) in 41 career games, Ryan Getzlaf paces active Ducks in career scoring against the Blackhawks. These two teams will meet twice more in Anaheim on Wednesday, December 5 and Wednesday, February 27.
Chicago comes in with losses in two of its last three games, including a 6-3 setback two nights ago at home against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Alex DeBrincat saw his seven-game point streak end in the loss, a streak that saw him tally seven goals and 11 points. The 20-year-old winger became just the eighth player in franchise history to record a point streak of seven or more games to begin a season. He also became just the 10th player in franchise history to score seven or more goals in the team's first seven games. DeBrincat paced the Hawks with six points (3g/3a) against Anaheim last season, including his first career hat trick and four-point game (3g/1a) on Nov. 27, 2017.
After missing 10 months recovering from a concussion, Corey Crawford made an emphatic return on Saturday. The 33-year-old goaltender stopped 37-of-38 shots in a 4-1 victory in Columbus, his first win since Dec. 17, 2017. Crawford, who is expected to get the start tonight, has a 1.97 goals-against average against the Ducks, his highest GAA against a Western Conference team.
Patrick Kane scored his sixth and seventh goals in the win against the Blue Jackets, and joins DeBrincat as the only teammates in the NHL with at least seven goals and four assists. The 29-year-old winger enters tonight's matchup with 31 points (9g/22a) in 38 career games against Anaheim.
