Preview: Ducks, Golden Knights Close Out Season Series at Honda Center

It's the third contest of a six-game homestand, as tonight the Ducks host the Vegas Golden Knights at Honda Center. (7 p.m. PT, TV: NBCSN, Radio: AM 830). The Ducks are in the midst of a stretch that sees them play 11 of their next 14 at Honda Center and 12 of 14 in Southern California through March 20. Though they've dropped three straight, the Ducks come in with a 4-4-2 mark in their last 10 and a 7-6-2 record in their previous 15.

This is the finale of a four-game season series between the Ducks and Golden Knights, which has seen Vegas take two of the first three. The lone Ducks victory came on Dec. 27 at Honda Center (4-3) when they reeled off three goals in 97 seconds for their fastest three goals scored in a second period in club history. The Ducks own an all-time record of 2-8-1 vs. Vegas, including a 1-4-0 mark at home. Cam Fowler (1g/3a), Adam Henrique (2g/2a) and Jakob Silfverberg (2g2a) co-lead current Ducks skaters in career scoring against the Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights enter tonight's matchup riding a five-game winning streak after completing a perfect 5-0 homestand. They earned a 5-3 victory last night over the Florida Panthers and have gone 7-2-1 over their last 10 to claim first place in the Pacific Division (74 points).
Max Pacioretty has goals in three straight and seven points (5g/2) over his last five. The 31-year-old left wing paces the club in goals (29) and needs just eight points to tie his single-season career high (67) from 2014-15 with Montreal. Mark Stone co-leads the team with 59 points, ranks third in goals (21) and second in power-play points (17).
Food Drive Before the Game
The Ducks, joined by Enterprise Rent-A-Car, will be hosting the Anaheim Ducks Food Drive - a food collection event - prior to the game to support Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County and their mission to end hunger in Orange County. The food drive will be collecting nonperishable food items in the Hockey Spot from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.
