The Anaheim Ducks Barrel Tree Lighting Ceremony is open to all fans free of charge and will include live music from Carlos Calvos Band, a Jack Daniel's "Snow Globe" photo booth, exclusive giveaways, games and light beverages and snacks. Additionally, Ducks DJ JoJo Maestrado, Power Players, street team members and mascot Wild Wing will be in attendance. The Barrel Tree will be available for viewing at Honda Center through the month of December. All barrels used to build the Barrel Tree display are empty and were formerly entrusted to mature Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey. Jack Daniel's uses new charred oak barrels to make its whiskey, the barrels are never filled a second time.
The Anaheim Ducks Foundation will be auctioning off 50 custom Jack Daniel's barrels branded with a wood-burned Anaheim Ducks logo on the lid beginning Dec. 6. Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to bid on limited edition Jack Daniel's barrels signed by a Ducks player, alumni or the top bidder's current player of choice. Each custom Ducks barrel will be available for purchase for $300 and will be sold on a first come, first-served basis with all proceeds benefitting the Anaheim Ducks Foundation. All barrels purchased will be available for pick up on Monday, Jan. 9 at Honda Center with timing to be announced. Fans can text BARREL to 76278 to stay informed.
Beginning Dec. 1, 63 barrels from the tree will be available for purchase for $150 with 100% of proceeds going to Jack Daniel's Operation Ride Home. Operation Ride Home is a program in partnership with the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) that assists junior-enlisted service members and families travel from their military bases of service to see their loved ones. Since 2011, Operation Ride Home has raised more than $2.3 million in donations and helped send more than 10,000 individual service members and those with families home.
