Without two of their biggest points producers, the Ducks had one of their best offensive outputs of the season three nights ago in San Jose. That's encouraging, since it appears uncertain whether they have them in the lineup again tonight.

Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf and second-leading-scorer Rickard Rakell both remain day-to-day with upper body injuries. Rakell did skate with his teammates yesterday, leading coach Dallas Eakins to say they're taking a "wait and see" approach with him. Getzlaf did not practice with the team, nor did winger Sam Steel, who has missed the last three games with an upper body injury.

Without them, the Ducks had five different players scored goals and 13 registered a point in a 5-1 shellacking of the Sharks on Tuesday night in San Jose. That halted a three-game losing streak for Anaheim.
The Ducks are an 3-2-1 in their last six but face a tall task with a two-game set tonight and Sunday against a very tough Colorado Avalanche team. The Avs have taken over first place in the Honda West division on the strength of some hot play as of late. Though they got trounced 8-3 in Minnesota two nights ago, that was their first regulation loss since March 8, a standings points streak of 15 games.
That includes a 5-2 victory over the Ducks back on March 29, a sour end to an up-and-down road trip for Anaheim.
The Avs are in the middle of a four-game road trip and complete their season series with the Ducks tonight and Sunday. Anaheim is 2-2-2 so far in those games, 1-0-1 at Honda Center.
This pair of games will be the last with no fans in attendance for the Ducks, who
will start allowing a percentage of spectators
in the building starting next Friday, April 16 vs. Vegas.
