Last week, Mackenzie Blackwood made the decision to get vaccinated, receiving the first of two doses that he will ultimately require in order to have the NHL's restrictions lifted on him.
Following practice on Friday, he was asked what made him ultimately decide to get vaccinated.
"My family, friends, teammates especially," Blackwood stated. "Not being around them and being part of the team is something that really bothered me."
