Saturday is May 14, a date which just so happens to resemble Montreal's original area code when abbreviated: 5/14.
Since 2018, the Canadiens have celebrated the occasion as 514 Day, hitting up social media on the date annually to spread a little love for the metropolis the club calls home.
This year, in honor of the 2022 NHL Draft being hosted in Montreal and the Canadiens holding the No. 1 pick, fans online voted for their own "top picks" around the city, ranging from neighborhoods, landmarks, delicacies, and more - call it civic power rankings for Quebec's largest city.
Once the picks were in, team mascot Youppi! was given the list and a camera, then headed out to spend the day exploring and capturing Montreal as a tourist.
On the itinerary were the Bell Centre (of course), downtown, Chinatown, Mount Royal, the Plateau, as well as poutine, smoked meat, bagels, and a burger almost as tall as the Olympic Tower.
Luckily Youppi! did a lot of strolling to burn off all those local calories while snapping shots along the way.
Check out the video below to tour the city through Youppi!'s lens - and appreciate the mascot's newfound photography "skills."
