4 -- Number of second-round picks the Canadiens now hold heading into the 2018 NHL Draft in Dallas. Prior to 2017, the Habs hadn't been at the podium in the second round since 2013, when the club selected Jacob de la Rose, Zachary Fucale, and Artturi Lehkonen 34th, 36th, and 55th overall, respectively. The last time the Canadiens drafted four players in the second round meanwhile was in 1982, setting a franchise-high in that category. Notable second rounders in Habs history have included Larry Robinson, Mats Naslund, Chris Chelios, and more recently, P.K. Subban.
2 -- Place defenseman Rinat Valiev finished with the Russians at the 2015 World Junior Championships in Toronto and Montreal, earning a silver medal at the annual event. Valiev registered three assists in seven games at the 2015 tournament, and even suited up once at his future home -- in a 3-2 quarterfinal win against the Americans at the Bell Centre.
19 -- Spot which forward Kerby Rychel was selected overall, by Columbus at the 2013 NHL Draft in New Jersey. A first-round pick in Newark, Rychel was a top-rated prospect coming out of Junior, having starred in the 2013 CHL Top Prospects Game, and figuring among the 2014 CHL Memorial Cup All-Star Team. As a pro, Rychel hoisted the Calder Cup with the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters in 2016. His father -- who also serves as his agent -- is 1996 Stanley Cup winner Warren Rychel.
