The Canadiens put on an offensive clinic on Wednesday in a 7-4 win over the Jets at the MTS Centre. Phillip Danault and Artturi Lehkonen led the way with two goals apiece, while Al Montoya made 22 saves to collect his sixth win of the campaign and his third victory in as many starts.
Michel Therrien's troops will be looking to avenge a loss suffered at the hands of the Wild in their only game against Minnesota to date, when Eric Staal & Co. left the Bell Centre with a 4-2 victory on December 22.
It won't be an easy task as the Wild have gone 8-1-1 in their last 10 games, most recently beating the Anaheim Ducks 2-1 on Sunday night.
After enjoying a rare night off on Wednesday, Carey Price will be back between the pipes on Thursday in the Twin Cities. The 29-year-old All-Star owns a 4-4 record in eight career starts against the Wild.
Fellow All-Star Devan Dubnyk will get the start at the other end of the ice. He currently leads the league with a 1.80 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage.
The Habs can snap a four-game winless skid against the Wild if they manage to record their first win at the Xcel Energy Center since March 20, 2011.
