Following the game, forwards Phillip Danault, Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield spoke with reporters via Zoom, along with interim head coach Dominique Ducharme.
Here are a few highlights from their respective chats:
Danault on Caufield's second consecutive OT winner:
Cole might be small in stature, but he likes big moments. We've seen that since the start. He has an excellent shot. He's been a very good addition to our team.

Phillip Danault on the Habs' string of comeback wins

Danault on why the Canadiens have turned things around:
I think we're doing very good work on the penalty kill, but we're also scoring big power play goals. That gives us energy. The guys are getting their confidence back offensively. We aren't giving up much from a defensive standpoint. We still have work to do, of course, but we're heading in the right direction and we have to continue picking up wins.

Suzuki on being confident in Caufield's ability to score huge goals:
He's done it at all levels. It's a big moment, playing against the Maple Leafs. He has back-to-back OT winners, so it's decent. I was telling him that I haven't got one yet. He's two goals up on me. That's pretty awesome for him and his confidence moving forward.

Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield on the overtime win

Suzuki on the Canadiens' play lately, enabling them to tie the Winnipeg Jets in the North Division standings:
We've been really resilient. We've been down in all the games. It's not something we're looking for, but it just shows a lot of character in the group that we have on the ice. We're doing a great job coming back. We're putting pressure on them. It's going to be fun down the stretch.

Caufield on what impresses him most about Suzuki's game:
The thing that stands out to me is how consistent he is. Each night, he brings it. He makes plays, no matter the pressure. He's always finding guys and he's scoring goals, too. He's a big part of why we're having success right now and I know he's going to keep going forward with that.
Caufield on his NHL experience thus far:
It's a challenging game. It's something that doesn't come easy at all. You've got to work for it and earn your spot and earn your trust with the guys. That's something that you've got to respect about the game. It's been a lot of fun. Obviously, it's more fun when you're winning, but the guys have been so good. Bringing a consistent level each night is something that we're striving to do and it feels pretty good right now.

Ducharme on the team's performance versus Toronto:
It wasn't perfect, but we found a way to stay in the game. We lacked energy in the second period, but we managed to make a big play to tie things up before getting a huge win.

Dominique Ducharme on Cole Caufield's key goals

Ducharme on Caufield's calm demeanor:
He handles the situation well. He knows that it's all about adaptation. Like all young players, he's going through it. He's very dangerous when he has time to shoot. It's his major strength, the speed he can get his shot off. He has two big goals for us.
