Following the game, forward Brendan Gallagher, goaltender Carey Price, defenseman Shea Weber and interim head coach Dominique Ducharme spoke with reporters via Zoom.
Here are a few highlights from their respective chats:
Gallagher on the Habs' inability to score more frequently:
They're playing well. You've got to give them credit. I think we've had some looks. We've had some chances. We could obviously do a little bit more. It's the same both ways. There are a lot more tight-checking games in the playoffs. They're dealing with the same thing we're dealing with. It's just a matter of finding a way. We've had enough looks. We've just got to put one in, find a way to beat the goalie. One shot can change the game.

Brendan Gallagher on a tough second period

Gallagher on his performance in the series to date:
I thought it was going a little quick for me in Game 1. I didn't feel like I did all that much. My legs felt good over the last two games. There are certain areas I can keep getting better at, but I felt pretty good here. Everyone's going to look at goals. I know goals are hard to come by and I know I'm going to have to score an important one as the series goes on, but I've always felt good about the same things. As long as the chances are going, I've had enough looks the last couple of games, so I've just got to find a way to put one by the goalie and contribute that way.
Price on the Canadiens' offensive woes in front of him through three playoff games:
I'm not frustrated at all, to be honest. I believe in these guys. These guys are talented guys. I see their shots in practice every day. I have no doubt that they have the ability to score goals. They're trying out there. I know they are. It's going to come. They're playing some pretty solid defense on their side, but we're going to find a way to get through that. Their goaltender is playing well, so we're going to have to make it more difficult for him.

Carey Price on his confidence in the team

Price on his highlight-reel save on veteran Jason Spezza:
It was just desperation. That's basically what it comes down to. They had a guy in a pretty good shooting position. I thought he was going to shoot the puck, so I bit pretty hard on it. The puck went back door and I just reached out and was able to get a stick on it.

Weber on the Canadiens' power play struggles in the series thus far:
We've just got to find a way to get going. It's frustrating. You want to make a difference and right now we're not. We're going to keep trying to make adjustments and keep working at it. We're just going to have to make a difference when it counts.

Shea Weber on a physical series so far

Weber on Price's leadership:
It's huge. He's a guy who gives us a chance to win every night. He makes big saves, especially tonight. It seems like he does that every game. He believes in the guys. I think it'll give them confidence and give us confidence to hopefully break through going forward.
Ducharme on goals being tough to come by for Montreal:
The Maple Leafs did a good job in certain aspects of the game. I thought we generated more scoring chances, especially in the third period. We want to play with that kind of rhythm. We weren't able to do that for 60 minutes.

Ducharme on the time spent in the defensive zone

Ducharme on Cole Caufield's playoff debut:
He skated well and created scoring chances. He had some good shots. He played a good game.
