MONTREAL - After watching Shawn Mendes rock the Bell Centre, Ryan Poehling has another cool event on the horizon.

The 20-year-old centerman is heading to Arlington, VA this weekend to participate in the 11th annual NHLPA Rookie Showcase at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.
Poehling, who is currently training in Montreal, will be one of 28 of the League's top prospects partaking in Sunday's on-ice festivities just outside Washington, DC.
The event provides Upper Deck with an opportunity to capture photographs and videos of the participants.
The content collected will be used for upcoming Upper Deck trading cards, memorabilia products and digital video posts.
The Canadiens' first-round pick in 2017, Poehling enjoyed an NHL debut for the ages on April 6 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
