TROIS-RIVIERES -- Already a versatile forward on the ice, Phillip Danault can now add "calendar model" to his growing skillset.

On Tuesday, the 25-year-old was in Trois-Rivieres to surprise some unexpecting fans at a photoshoot for this year's Leucan Mauricie-Centre-du-Québec calendar.

Danault signed autographs and posed for photos with a pair of Habs-clad youngsters who will appear in the annual fundraising publication.
"I'm involved with Patrice Bergeron's Pro-Am golf tournament, which supports Leucan," explained Danault in an interview with Le Nouvelliste. "This is a nice surprise for the kids, but it's also nice for me. It's something very special in my eyes."
2018 has been a busy year for Danault in the community. In March, the Victoriaville, QC native joined the fight against violence and intimidation with the Jasmin Roy Foundation.
