BROSSARD -- The speediest member of the Montreal Canadiens hit the ice with some special guests during F1 weekend in Montreal.

Paul Byron took Sky Sports F1 commentator David Croft and reporter Rachel Brookes on a tour of the Bell Sports Complex while the pair were in town to cover the Canadian Grand Prix -- providing the broadcasting duo with a little local sports flavor to air ahead of the big show.

Elsewhere on the island, the Habs got their need for speed at a variety of F1-related events.
Defenseman Victor Mete and forward Charles Hudon hit Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for a hot lap in a pair of supercars on Thursday and Friday, respectively.

On Saturday, Mete and his teammates presented current F1 star Lewis Hamilton with a custom Canadiens jersey at a private constructor event.

And race day saw a number of Habs in attendance for the 40th edition of Canada's Grand Prix, with Byron, Mete, and Canadiens captain Max Pacioretty all on-hand.
