While the Habs may call Montreal home during the season, they'll never forget where they came from. Long before Jordie Benn first hit the ice in the NHL, he was taking his first strides toward stardom back home in Victoria, BC. Check out Shea's insider guide to the must-sees back in his hometown.

Victoria, BC.
Population : 85 792
What is Victoria famous for:
It's probably the tourism. When everybody comes there, it's a pretty big eye-opener how beautiful the city is in the summer. Obviously, being right on the ocean there, the fresh air, the trees, and just how nice the people are.

Best place to go shopping:
Anywhere downtown. Those little boutiques and little side streets are pretty cool.

Home arena growing up:
The Peninsula Eagle. I grew up there. I lived there. It was our second home because we spent way too much time there. I go back all the time. We go back and we check it out. Sometimes, we'll go on the ice. But, we have a couple of good friends that live just by the rink, so we'll go out there and see what's changed.

Best place to eat:
For sure, Romeo's. It's a pizza-Italian joint. It's the best pizza in the world. It's the only pizza I like. It's my favorite.

Elementary school:
Keating Cross Road Elementary. It was five or 10 minutes away, right by my parents' house. It was awesome. It was a great place to grow up. I still talk to a lot of the buddies I was there with.
