MONTREAL - Next month, Kaiden Guhle will report to camp for his second season as a Montreal Canadien. This weekend, he'll hit up LASSO for the first time as a Montre-y'all Canadien.

And the western boy will be rocking some fresh western wear thanks to an expert personal shopper.

With the second edition of LASSO finally here, Guhle got a hand picking out his weekend fits from festival spokesperson and country artist Brittany Kennell during a shopping spree at La Caravane Vintage on St-Laurent boulevard.

But while the Edmonton, AB native may have needed an assist telling apart his bootcuts from button-ups, musically his Friday and Saturday are already set.

"Chris Stapleton is obviously the big one. I saw him in September last year and he was awesome. I can't wait to see him again," admitted the 21-year-old. "Kane Brown will be great too - same for Jake Owen. I listen to a lot of his music, so I'm excited for those three guys, as well as to discover some of the up-and-coming acts. It should be fun."

It's no secret country music gets heavy rotation in the Habs dressing room, so it should come as no surprise there will be a large Canadiens contingent at Parc Jean-Drapeau for this summer's final large-scale festival. Guhle expects to be joined - although not outdressed - by teammates Nick Suzuki, Arber Xhekaj, Juraj Slafkovsky and Josh Anderson at this year's event.

Kennell of course has been a helpful coach to Habs looking to up their country game lately. A year ago, the sometimes Bell Centre anthem singer gave Suzuki a backstage guitar lesson after performing at the festival's inaugural edition. This year, she's looking forward to experiencing LASSO as a fan.

"Chris Stapleton is for sure the top one on my list. I'm really excited to see Elle King, too. I've been really loving her latest album," acknowledged the Montreal songstress. "Morgan Wade, I really want to see. Lauren Watkins is on there. Who else is on my list... Oh, Brothers Osborne as well."

And for a little local flavor, the Beaconsfield, QC native recommends checking out fellow Quebecers Francis Degrandpré and Andie Therio.
