20211223-Hospital-Visits-Cole-Caufield

MONTREAL - The Habs answered the call -- literally -- to spread Christmas cheer at three Montreal children's hospitals this holiday season.

It marked the 56th edition of the yuletide visits, a tradition started by Habs legend Jean Beliveau more than a half-century ago.
The event may have shifted to a virtual setting due to the ongoing pandemic, but the smiles behind the webcams were real.
Players and 70 young patients at CHU Sainte-Justine, the Montreal Children's Hospital, and the Shriners Hospitals for Children -- Canada were all gifted gingerbread house kits to build while connecting in groups of ten, and the result was even sweeter than the spiced structures they constructed.
Watch a recap of the best moments from the visits below.

Highlights include "ugly" sweaters aplenty, a couple bars of caroling, cameos by four-legged friends, and a sweet-toothed Artturi Lehkonen.
Yes, we'll allow it Lehky.
