The collection contains four signature pieces: a faded blue
47' brand
cap, which will be available for purchase online at tricoloresports.com, a red and white three-quarter length baseball T-shirt and grey hoodie, both by
Trust &Tradition
, and a relaxed fashion camo tank by
Plainthreads
, which will be available for purchase exclusively at Tricolore Sports' flagship store at the Bell Centre or by calling the boutique directly at 514-989-2836.
"We just wanted something a bit more fashion-forward. Something we would want to wear to the game that would also work if you were going out for dinner after," explained Price. "We wanted pieces you could incorporate in your wardrobe all week long."
To ensure the line would feature clothing they would actually wear themselves, Price and Petry enlisted the help of Tiffany Parros, whose Plainthreads designs have long been staples in their own closets.
"I'm always happy when the wives get more involved with a team. I was delighted to share my designs and drag the boys at Trust & Tradition into the project," shared Parros. "Their design team worked in overdrive to make sure Angela and Julie had plenty of options to choose from."
Instagram from @tricoloresports: Nous sommes très excités pour le lancement de la collection de vêtements pour femmes CHic, assemblée par Angela Price et Julie Petry, qui sera disponible demain au Centre Bell et par commande téléphonique! // We are very excited for the launch of our CHic clothing line for women curated by @byangelaprice and @the\_dailyjules which will be available in our Bell Centre store and by phone order tomorrow!
The limited-run line will be available as of December 2, and both Angela and Julie will be on-hand in the Tricolore Sports store at the Bell Centre before the game against the Red Wings and again during the first and second intermissions to meet with fans and talk about the collection.
"I would say the camo top is probably both of our favorites. We both love camo. Our husbands are both into outdoorsy stuff so we wanted to incorporate that passion of theirs into something we can wear," described Petry. "The logo on the tank was actually on a hat that my husband wore all the time last year. We wanted to put that on the tank and the hoodie. We thought it was a cool under-the-radar logo."
The fashionable duo was joined by Bailey Weber for the line's official photoshoot, with jewelry styling by Julie Hemsky.
"I love the hoodie and the hat, because they're really understated," said Price. "You're repping the Habs without it being bright, crazy colors. It's not as obvious, which I like. It's hard to pick a favorite, but the camo tank is such a staple. You can literally throw it with anything. By itself, to the gym, to the game. It's the most versatile piece."
In addition to giving style-conscious fans threads that will go from stadium-to-street on a Saturday night, the CHic Collection was also designed with an eye on giving back - a key selling point for both Price, who is heavily involved with the Breakfast Club of Canada, and Petry, who helps run the Jeff and Julie Petry Foundation.
"10 percent of all sales of the products will be donated to the Canadiens Children's Foundation. That was really important to us," said Price. "It means a little more to have a part of it go to charity."
"Hopefully this is just the beginning and it's something we can build on with more pieces down the road," added Petry.
