Canadiens recall Anthony Richard from Laval

MONTREAL -- Forward Anthony Richard was recalled from the Laval Rocket on Sunday.

Richard, 25, is enjoying an outstanding season with the Canadiens' AHL affiliate.
The Trois-Rivières native boasts a League-leading 18 goals in 27 games.
He's also tied for third in AHL scoring with 31 points, averaging 1.15 points per game.

A fourth-round selection of the Predators (100th overall) in 2015, Richard has two games of NHL experience with Nashville. His most recent appearance was on Oct. 26, 2019.
Montreal signed Richard to a one-year, two-way contract on July 13. He made a good impression at training camp before being cut in early October.

With Richard's arrival, forward Rem Pitlick was assigned to the Rocket.
The Canadiens are starting a stretch of seven consecutive road games on Monday night when they face the Coyotes in Arizona.
