MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens announced Friday the return of the team’s special 50/50 raffle initiatives for the 2026-27 season.

The first special 50/50 of the season will run through October 20 in support of La Tablée des Chefs and its work to fight food insecurity in Quebec. In addition to the raffle, the Canadiens will hold a food drive at Canadiens Plaza outside the Bell Centre prior to the games on October 13, 17 and 20, with fans encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate.

“IGA has been at the heart of our impact for more than 12 years, actively helping us fulfill our mission to nourish and educate," said Jean-François Archambault, Executive Director and Founder of La Tablée des Chefs. "This partnership continues to fuel our ambition to reduce food insecurity and empower all young people to become food self-sufficient before reaching adulthood.”

Launched last season in an effort to use the team’s platform and reach to bring awareness and raise money for worthy causes in Montreal and Quebec, the 2025-26 special 50/50 initiatives helped generate nearly $350,000 for four local organizations: True Patriot Love, Old Brewery Mission, the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, and the Canadian Cancer Society.

This season, the program will expand to feature five special fundraisers benefiting different groups, with each accompanied by a complementary community initiative designed to give fans additional ways to support the cause.

"Across our broader communities throughout the province, there are countless organizations working tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of others," said France Margaret Bélanger, President, Groupe CH Sports and Entertainment.  "Our team is in a privileged position to help amplify their efforts and support their success, and it's our sincere honor to do so with five unique initiatives in the season ahead."

As a cornerstone of the program, all funds raised through the special 50/50 raffles will remain in Quebec and directly support initiatives serving communities within the province. The four remaining organizations and initiatives for the 2026-27 season will be announced in the coming weeks.
