LAS VEGAS - The Canadiens announced that defenseman Frédéric Allard has been recalled from the AHL's Laval Rocket on an emergency basis. He will be available to play against the Golden Knights in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Allard, 25, was acquired from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for forward Nate Schnarr on Friday. He has collected two goals and five assists in 35 games with the Ontario Reign in the American Hockey League this season. A native of Saint-Sauveur, QC, Allard was drafted in the third round (78th overall) by the Nashville Predators in 2016.
