MONTREAL -- Canadiens prospects Joshua Roy and Kaiden Guhle were named to Canada's National Junior Team Selection Camp on Wednesday.

A fifth-round pick in 2021, Roy has set the QMJHL on fire with his offensive talent and elite hockey IQ. Primarily known for his excellent shot, Roy has put an onus on improving his playmaking skills, which has led to a significant uptick in offense.
Guhle, the 16th overall pick in 2020, is the epitome of a modern, hybrid defenseman. Not only can he produce at one end of the rink, but he's also a stalwart defender in his own zone, as well as a born leader. He owes much of his success to his elite skating and high-end decision-making.
Here's a numerical look at why the pair have definitely earned their invitations to the annual selection process:
1- Roy currently leads the QMJHL in scoring, with an impressive 39 points in 21 games for the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
2- This is the second time Guhle has been invited to Team Canada's Selection Camp, where he's expected to undertake a leadership role as a returning player.
15 - Guhle amassed two goals and 13 assists in 17 games for the Prince Albert Raiders in the WHL this season, leading all players in scoring in the process, before being traded to the Edmonton Oil Kings on Wednesday afternoon.

25- With 25 assists this year, Roy is currently second among all QMJHL players, trailing only fellow Canadiens prospect Xavier Simoneau.
18- Guhle was only 18 years old when he made his WJC debut in 2020-21. He scored twice, the most goals by a defenseman during the tournament.
88- Roy has significantly increased his shot rates, shooting 88 times in 21 games this season, an increase of 20 percent compared to last season.
11 - Guhle ranks 11th in scoring among defensemen this season in the WHL.
4- Roy played with Team Canada's Under-17 squad, scoring two goals and two assists in five games.

2019 - Guhle took part in the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, Canada U18 in 2019. He was part of the leadership group on both teams.
