Armia, Anderson will play for gold at Worlds

MONTREAL -- Joel Armia and Josh Anderson will go head-to-head for the gold medal at the IIHF World Championship.

Armia scored the game-winning goal and collected an assist in Finland's 4-3 semi-final victory over the United States on Saturday.

The veteran winger also finished the contest with a plus-3 differential while logging 17:03 of ice time.
"It's great. I'm having a lot of fun every day," said Armia, regarding the opportunity to play in the gold medal game on home soil. "It's been amazing so far, so hopefully everything goes well [on Sunday]."
The Pori native is enjoying a strong tournament with seven points (4 goals, 3 assists) and a team-leading plus-8 differential in nine games.
American Sean Farrell, who will play Czechia for bronze, scored his second goal of the tournament in the loss.
The 20-year-old Harvard University product has six points (2 goals, 4 assists) and a plus-3 differential in nine games.

Defenseman Jordan Harris didn't dress and hasn't played in the event.
For his part, Anderson recorded an assist in Canada's 6-1 semi-final triumph over the Czechs.
The power forward is also enjoying a solid showing overseas with seven points (1 goal, 6 assists) in nine games for Claude Julien's squad.
