MONTREAL - Alex Burrows joined the Canadiens coaching staff on Wednesday after spending the past three seasons as an assistant with the Laval Rocket. The 13-year NHL veteran played over 913 career games with the Canucks and Senators before stepping behind the bench in Laval in 2018.

205 - Burrows racked up 205 goals in his 13 NHL seasons, including four 20-plus goal campaigns. The undrafted forward added another 19 goals in 85 postseason games.
7 - On December 3, 2019, Burrows became the seventh member added to the Vancouver Canucks' in-arena Ring of Honour display, joining Canucks legends Orland Kurtenbach, Kirk McLean, Thomas Gradin, Harold Snepsts, Pat Quinn, and Mattias Ohlund on that exclusive list.
241 - Before breaking into the NHL ranks, Burrows played 241 career games in the minors, including 134 ECHL games, following a standout career in the QMJHL, giving him a unique perspective that has helped him guide Canadiens prospects over the last three seasons.
2 - While Burrows repped Canada on the ice at the 2012 IIHF World Championship, the 39-year-old's pair of international gold medals were actually earned on the hardcourt. Burrows reached the top of the podium as a member of Canada's 2003 and 2005 World Championship ball hockey teams, including earning 2005 International Player of the Year honors and an eventual induction to the CBHA Hall of Fame.
63 - In Burrows' three seasons with the Rocket under Joel Bouchard, the team has posted 63 wins, owning a 63-59-21 record in that span, including three wins in five games so far in 2020-21.
