MANCHESTER, N.H. - It was another picture perfect summer afternoon in New England, which made for yet another tremendous stop on the Boston Bruins Fan Fest Tour.
After a strong start in Portland, Maine, on Saturday, hundreds more Bruins fans gathered at Arms Park in Manchester for Day 2 of the tour. Brandon Carlo, who helped kicks things off in Maine, returned on Sunday and was joined by teammate Tim Schaller, Bruins general manager Don Sweeney, and goalie coach Bob Essensa.
"It's absolutely tremendous," said Sweeney. "I heard nothing but great things about Portland. I love the whole idea, concept-wise of what's been put together. You always wonder, you're in August, where the fans will be...but it's not that surprising, you've got great communities.
"I love the growth aspect of what we're trying to do, it's an opportunity for the young kids. It's an expensive sport and we're trying to provide the resources to continue to grow the game. It's great to see the turnout."
Also on hand were Bruins alums Bob Sweeney and Andrew Raycroft and NESN's Andy Brickley.
