BostonBruins.com - Following the unexpected pause of the postseason in protest of racial injustice, the Bruins and Lightning will be back on the ice on Saturday afternoon to resume their second-round series. Boston will be aiming to tie the series at two games apiece after a 7-1 setback in Game 3 on Wednesday night.
"I mean, obviously you have more time," Cassidy said of his preparations. "[On Friday morning], we practiced, we went through some video. I started thinking about it in the third period and right after the game, that we need to have a different plan of attack - or not so much a different plan of attack, but alter areas of our plan of attack so we can expose some weaknesses in Tampa, because there is not very many of them.
"So yes, a day away from the rink probably helped everybody in terms of their physical conditioning as well, because we just finished playing three in four. Playoff hockey, it's that much tougher on your body. I think the players had a physically refreshing day, but a mentally challenging one."

Kuraly Out Again

Sean Kuraly did not skate on Friday after missing the Bruins' Game 3 loss and has been termed "unfit to participate." He will not play on Saturday and is day-to-day.
"Dealing with an injury he wasn't able to go - we weren't sure on that," said Cassidy. "Obviously, he's a part of our kill we miss, especially in the faceoff circle. We only have two lefties, him and [Par] Lindholm. So, you miss that part of it. At the end of the day, you have to move on. We still have capable killers that [Wednesday] night just weren't able to get the job done."
Par Lindholm will stay in to center the fourth line, while Karson Kuhlman will enter the lineup and play alongside Charlie Coyle and Nick Ritchie. Connor Clifton also returns on Boston's third pairing alongside Matt Grzelcyk.

PK Needs Bounce Back

After holding the Lightning without a power-play goal over the series' first two games, the Bruins allowed Tampa to convert on 3 of 6 power plays in Game 3. Tampa, which had been 0 for 16 over its previous seven games, switched star winger Nikita Kucherov to his forehand side, a change the Bruins struggled to adjust to.
"That changes where pucks are going, where they're going to be dangerous from, obviously now with the right-handed bumper it goes up top, it goes to the other side to [Ondrej] Palat, so our shot blockers have to be better aligned there," said Cassidy. "You're going to overplay certain areas. He does a good job. He's a good player, power play, five-on-five, so he's going to make plays. Where we probably didn't do a good enough job is dictating where the shots come from.
"At the end of the day, we gave up too much five-on-five and on the PK, took too many penalties, which is uncharacteristic of us. It happens, they took advantage of it. We'll look at it and certainly do some things better the next game. Our penalty kill has been good all year, been good in the playoffs. Chalk that one up to their power play just being better than our kill and we'll adjust."
