Maroon

BOSTON – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, March 8, that the team has acquired forward Pat Maroon from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for forward Luke Toporowski and a 2026 sixth-round conditional draft pick.

The sixth-round conditional draft pick is only transferred if Maroon plays at least one playoff game for the Bruins during the 2023-24 playoffs. 

Maroon, 35, has appeared in 49 games with Minnesota this season, recording four goals and 12 assists for 16 points. The 6-foot-3, 234-pound forward has skated in 778 career NHL games with Minnesota, Tampa Bay, St. Louis, New Jersey, Edmonton and Anaheim, totaling 121 goals and 183 assists for 304 points. The three-time Stanley Cup winner (2019, 2020, 2021) has played in 150 career Stanley Cup playoff games, tallying 23 goals and 28 assists for 51 points.

The St. Louis, Missouri native was originally selected by Philadelphia in the sixth round (161st overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
